Welcome to 6th Grade

To be honest 6th grade is hard to some people, and you might think the teachers are mean. Well they are not, just listen and follow the rules. But if you just listen
and follow rules they won’t be hard on you or give you write ups/marks.
A little advice before you start this year is, don’t try and make everyone laugh and try and always be funny it won’t work. Also do your work if you don’t you will end up with zero’s and trust me they will give you zero’s and if you don’t do your work and you will never catch up with your assignments.
If-you don’t try and make everyone laugh all year you can concentrate about school and not “jokes”. So you won’t get sac and sac is “in school suspension” and all you do is work for days and nothing else. Personally, I have never had sac thankfully but I know a few people that have had it before and some say it is boring some say it is just straight awful. If you don’t goof off and try and be funny this year won’t be so bad.
If you actually do your work, listen and concentrate the work won’t be hard at all it actually is very easy. One thing I have to say is if you do your work the teachers won’t really dislike you for that reason. Trust me if you don’t listen to anything else I have to say listen to this. You need to study! Trust me on this one the first time I did not study it was an awful grade. But if-you just study for at least 10 minutes and you will actually make a good grade. Just remember the work can be easy or hard it is your decision?
I hope you take my advice but if you don’t well it’s your loss and all I have to say is good luck to you. But if you do listen it will be really easy for you this year.

Were Under Attack

Giant Salvinia, Water Hydrilla, Zebra Mussels are taking over over of our bodies of water. If-we can use your help we can fight these invasive species. One solution could be that we let and educate the public about this problem we have with our bodies of water. If we breed animals that can kill these invasive species like diving ducks, crawfish, weevils those can be solutions for our problem. But that is only two we need more to protect our environment I am telling you this so after we are done talking about this we would like for you to go tell relatives and your friends about this problem because they can help too.
I am going to tell you a few words that you probably not familiar with. Aquatic, aquatic means living or growing in the water. Next is Invasive, invasive means invading or tending to invade. And last but not least native, native means its natural place to be.
Our problem is that Invasive Species out taking over our bodies of water in Texas. They are using weevils, herbicide, chemicals but it is not working! It is time for new cheap and quick solutions.
You might not think this is not a problem but these invasive species have taken over 90% of our bodies of water in Texas. All of you can help our bodies of water and thinking of different solutions to fight these invasive species. If we breed animals that can kill these invasive species that could help or even solve these problems. But breeding takes time and who knows what these invasive species will look like in a few years. If-you help us we can help you if you help us get rid of these invasive species you will have fresh drinking water you might think that is nothing but if you think you will realize I need water.
We can’t fight these invasive species alone we need your help.
These two solutions could help but with your ideas that could make the difference. We can beat these pests but not alone we need everyone on our side.

Are You Grateful

People that are privileged enough to go to school are not grateful, and people that don’t have an education wish they could go to school. In “I Am Malala” she was always grateful for her education. Most people in Pakistan don’t get to go to school so that is why Malala is grateful for her education.
To start with, Malala always loved school but she was also very grateful for her education. Malala always was grateful for school. Because not everyone in Pakistan and even Swat don’t get the opportunity. Malala always loved and had fun at school. “School is has always been a place I love.” Malala said in her story. Malala will and always was grateful for school.
Unlike Malala people that can get into school without a problem more often than not they are ungrateful for their education. Most people would rather play video games such as Ps4, Xbox, and other technology. However, in my free time I like to play sports such as baseball, football, and basketball. Most people don’t realize if you don’t make good grades or act right you won’t get a good job or a good college. Everyone should be grateful like Malala Yousafzai.
Most people that have a hard time getting into school are most likely grateful for school. But people that can get into school without a doubt are most likely ungrateful. I hope after you read this you are more grateful about school and your education.

Making Her Voice Heard

Why and how did Malala make her voice heard.

To start with, Malala made her voice heard because, she wants to stand up for women’s equal rights.

Malala is determined to speak out against the Taliban. Because, Taliban has made Pakistan and Swat a miserable place to be.

However, Malala does not care what the Taliban say Malala goes to school no matter what. “Everyday me and my classmates have to sneak off to school.’’

Malala spoke out against women’s equal rights and the Taliban, that is how Malala made her voice heard.

Can She Help Change the World

Education is important to Malala because she thinks boys and girls should be able to go to school and learn.

However, Malala thinks it is not fair because boys get to go to school and girls have a hard time getting in. ”This is a country where education for women is hard to find.” Malala knows schools are getting destroyed/blown up and she does not want that happening to her school. ”There have been suicide bombers going around blowing up schools.”

Malala wants to make a change so boys and girls can go to school together this is why education is important to Malala.

Similarities and Differences Between Communicating through Technology and Communicating in Person

Here are some similarities and differences between communicating through technology and communicating in person. But with technology there can be consequences and some advantages.

Here are some similarities between communicating in person and communicating with technology. With communicating through technology you can be bullied just like you can be bullied in person. You can bully someone at recess. Let’s say you are on Facebook, you can be bullied in private chat or even local chat. You can be mistaken. like if someone is new to technology, they might not know lol, omg,u,r like any kind of slang language. Also if, someone does not speak your language they might have a hard time understanding you.

Here are some differences between communicating in person and communicating with technology. If you have a friend/family member that you have not seen in a long time and you want to see them. It would cost more a ton of money to see them in person than it would to just text, call or even facetime. If you are not careful you could get hit by a car or hurt horribly. But if you did not have technology, it would be a lot harder of getting ahold of someone.

I don’t know about you but I would rather be with a friend or family member face-to-face than on technology. Those were a few similarities and some differences between communicating through technology and communicating in person.

Mysterious Huge Box

   It was Christmas morning

We had a lot of present

But no doubt they were for my little brother

But I did not care

Christmas was usual family showed up around 8:00 A.M

So I start sorting out presents for everyone

And I start opening a huge box

But my dad said open that one last

 I said okay…….

So I was opening presents

But when I got to the huge box I got excited

My mind was zooming like a race car

So when I was ripped of the wrapping paper

I opened the huge box there was another box in that box

I was so confused

So I  opened the next box and there was another one

And another one there was so many boxes on boxes

I was exhausted so when I got to the little box I opened it

And there it was a phone after all that work I got a phone

What I have been asking for since last year

After all that I just went to bed

Literary Response

Out Of My Mind

To start, with here are a few reasons why I think characters in ” Out Of My Mind” seem real to me.  For a start, I think Melody’s disability could happen to anybody. ”I can’t talk. I can’t walk or go to the bathroom. At this point Melody can’t communicate to people so now she has a Medi-talker to help her communicate to people and her family. ”Finally, finally, finally on Wednesday before Christmas, the Medi-talker arrives. I don’t need another present for Christmas.”  Afterward Melody can’t walk so she got to get an electric wheelchair so now she can basically move wherever she wants by herself. ” I did get a wheelchair.” ”I can’t go very fast, but I can propel myself down the hall with just a little lever on the handrail.”  Finnally, these are a few good ways I think characters in ”Out Of My Mind” seem realistic.
